Sounds of Summer Concert Series with The Believers
Friday, Aug. 30, 7 p.m.
Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center, Market Square, 907 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg
Free; extended museum hours from 5 - 9 p.m., members reception and activities for children.

Neighborhood Tours - History of Our Homes, Domestic Residents: Charles Street and Hanover Street
Saturday, Aug. 31, 11:30 a.m.
Meet beside the St. James House, 1300 Charles St., Fredericksburg
Explore the homes and history of one of Fredericksburg's oldest neighborhoods as tour guides discuss centuries of architecture and unravel the histories of people who helped shape the Fredericksburg community.  Tours last about 75 minutes.
The cost is $5/adult, $2/child and $2/student. Participants will receive a discounted entry fee into the museum. The tour is FREE for museum members.

Fishing 101 at Lake Anna State Park
Saturday, Aug. 31, 1 - 2 p.m.
6800 Lawyers Rd., Spotsylvania.  Meet at the Visitor Center.
Learn the basics of fishing and put it to the test. Those over 16 must have a valid Va. freshwater fishing license to fish.
Cost is $2/person, $6/family.  Limited space is available; advance registration recommended at 540-854-6245.

Sunset Canoe Float
Saturday, Aug. 31, 7:15 - 8:45 p.m.
Motts Run Reservoir, 6600 River Rd., Fredericksburg
Paddle the still waters of Motts Run Reservoir searching the shoreline for beavers, bats and osprey.  All equipment and snack provided for adults and families. Canoe can hold two paddlers and one or two small passengers.
Cost is $9.  Register at 540-372-1086.
