Allman's has served up pit-cooked barbecue in Fredericksburg for more than half a century. The little brick building opened in 1954 and has occupied the spot along Route 1 ever since.
Customers can eat at one of the tables or the counter inside the quaint restaurant or outside at a table or booth. Along with barbecue, Allman's is known for its milkshakes and serves burgers (including veggie burgers), grilled cheese sandwiches and hot dogs. It also has ribs and bulk orders.
