The Equipment Connection is a great resource for families with disabilities. I have received used equipment here for my son, while waiting on his new equipment and I have donated equipment he has outgrown. It is the only place I know of locally, where you can walk in and out with what you need. With that said, they may not have what you are looking for as it is donation only and it is used equipment. But still, in a pinch this place is a good resource.

I have used them twice. Both times my husband needed a wheelchair for short term use. I found Michael to be very helpful. They have mainly used and donated equiptment (in good working order) in this small storefront.

I would recommend a visit in person to the shop (not just a phone call) so you can see firsthand what types of equiptment they have on hand. I filled out a short form and took the equiptment home the same day. When I returned the wheelchair I donated leftover medical supplies.

I wish i could leave a minus star rating! My son was in a car accident while crossing rt 3 at motel 8 and bk his leg was broken in numerous places and was told not to bear weight on it, not to use crutches or a walker only a wheelchair. I have been calling Equipment Connection since friday it is now tuesday and leaving messages with NO call back. I just got through since i called Goodwill and asked for help and they transferred me and finally someone picked up. I was told i could get a walker or crutches but i could not get a wheelchair even though my son is disabled and currently on social security and medicaid and is not allowed to use either of those things. The man i spoke to was not at all sympathetic to our plight, in not being able to find a wheelchair anywhere, and in the conversation before i was done speaking I was hung up on and when i called back immediately it went right to the answering machine again, he would not pick up or return my call. I would suggest if you ever need medical equipment do not waste your time with this "charity" it is a waste of time i they will not help you, and they had no sympathy to our plight in not being able to get a wheelchair anywhere, and were most UN-helpful. Do not donate to them, if you are going to donate, use Goodwill, or sALVATION ARMY, they are here to help. The Equipment Connection is not there for you or anyone in the community, it was a bad Joke on us to think they could help.
