Ryan's Family Steak House, a subsidiary of Buffets Inc., was founded in 1977 and has grown to over 200 locations in 23 states. The menu items are served in a buffet style and include a wide array of entrees such as macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, spaghetti, baked fish, mashed potatoes and, of course, steak. Customers can construct a salad from the vast selection at the salad bar and take as much or as little as they want. Soups are kept hot and ready to serve in addition to several types of veggies. At the end of the meal, diners may enjoy dessert from a long list of traditional favorites such as peach cobbler, chocolate cake and apple pie.
