The man jumped in the Rappahannock River on Aug. 31 in front of a woman fishing, but left before police got there.
The incident happened at the store at 6734 Jefferson Davis Highway in Spotsylvania County.
Police said the incident started on Howison Avenue and ended at the 7-Eleven on Lafayette Boulevard.
The victim said four males attacked him.
The sheriff's office says the autopsy report indicates the bones were of a female between the age of 25 and 40.
iPod and laptop computer stolen.
Fredericksburg officers searched the suspect's apartment and seized five other firearms.
The sheriff's office says the home reeked of rotted trash and animal feces.
