The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office issued an updated wanted poster for Chauncey Cartier Lampkin, a.k.a. Fresh, the 27-year-old Spotsylvania resident wanted on five felony warrants in connection with the March 30 shooting death of a security guard at Q-Ball Cafe in Fredericksburg. Lampkin is described as a black male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 190 pounds, with chest, shoulder and full arm tattoos. He is considered armed and dangerous. Marcellus “Bull” Greene, Sr., a former semi-pro football player with the Prince William Monarchs, was killed in a drive-by shooting at the Q-Ball Cafe in the early morning of March 30, while working as a security guard at the Fredericksburg club. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting, but the primary suspect -- Chauncey Cartier Lampkin (a.k.a. Fresh) -- is still at large. The funeral for Marcellus "Bull" Greene will be held Tuesday, April 9, at Culpeper Baptist Church, according to a Horizon Funeral Home spokesperson. The morning will begin with a viewing from 10 - 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. There will also be a 5 - 8 p.m. viewing Monday at the church. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Team is helping in the search for the third suspect.
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office has brought in the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in a nationwide search for Chauncey Cartier Lampkin (a.k.a. Fresh), Capt. Jeff Pearce, sheriff's office spokesperson, said. Lampkin is wanted in connection with the drive-by shooting death of Marcellus Greene early Saturday morning at Q-Ball Cafe. Police are searching for two more men wanted in the killing of security guard Marcellus “Bull” Greene, Sr.
Investigation by detectives from the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office and the Fredericksburg Police Department has resulted in the identification of two additional suspects wanted in connection with the drive-by shooting death of Marcellus Greene early Saturday morning at Q-Ball Cafe. Update: Lavon Chew Arrested In Connection with Security Guard Homicide _____ An employee died in front of the Q Ball Cafe early Saturday morning in what witnesses described as a drive-by, according to Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Deputies. Samih Mustafa Sowan was murdered on March 1, 2011, but the Stafford County Sheriff's Office is asking for public's help in solving the case.
An anonymous donor donated $50,000 to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office to offer as a reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of the person who murdered Samih Mustafa Sowan on March 1, 2011 on Fife Street. Sowan had been renting an apartment at the Fife Street address and was the owner of the Subway on Walpole Street in Stafford County. Police announce arrest of suspect, say suspect's identity will be released when charges are filed. Victim identified as 33-year-old Jermaine Samuel.
UPDATE: 2:30 a.m. - Fredericksburg police say they have a suspect in custody in relation to a late night homicide which occured near the intersection of Pelham and Charles Street. Police have also identified the murder victim as 33-year-old Jermaine Samuel, who was living in a room at the Colonial Motel on Princess Anne Street. Police say the victim was stabbed, not shot as some early reports indicated.The fight and homicide stemmed from a dispute over illegal drugs. Police say the investigation is active and ongoing.
