Pavement Work For I-95
Starting next week, multiple sections of Interstate 95 pavement will be improved in the Fredericksburg area.
Next week, work will begin pavement improvements on Interstate 95 in the Fredericksburg region in the northbound and southbound lanes in Caroline, Spotsylvania and Stafford counties. A total of 63 lane miles will be milled and paved in the region this year to eliminate potholes, ruts and cracking, which makes a smoother ride on the interstate. The following segments of I-95 are scheduled to be milled and restored with new pavement between May and December 2012: Fredericksburg City Spotsylvania County Stafford County Caroline County The lane closures are generally scheduled overnight after rush hour traffic is concluded.
