Germanna Needs Classroom Space After Earthquake Damage

College president says one building sustained significant damage after yesterday's earthquake and there's a need for classroom space for the semester.

Updated Aug. 26 10:30 a.m.: Germanna Community College has announced plans to resume classes after sustaining earthquake damage Tuesday to one of the buildings on its Fredericksburg campus. All classes will continue. On Aug. 30, Germanna nursing and dental hygiene students will resume classes. All other students will resume classes on Sept. 6.  The college will be posting details on classroom changes to its Web site schedule at germanna.edu. Structural damage to the Earl V. Dickinson Building is serious enough that Germanna President David A. Sam expects it to be out of commission for at least the Fall semester.
