Police have identified the suspect in last night's fatal stabbing as 20-year-old Justin Brunell, who now stands charged with first degree murder. Police say they are not looking for any additional suspects, but said that the investigation is not over yet. "We are looking to interview anyone who may know anything about last night's events," said Fredericksburg Police spokersperson Natatia Bledsoe. Police say multiple eyewitnesses in the area of the incident were able to provide a description of the suspect as he chased his victim, 33-year-old Jermaine Samuel, following an argument over cocaine. UPDATE: 2:30 a.m. - Fredericksburg police say they have a suspect in custody in relation to a late night homicide which occured near the intersection of Pelham and Charles Street. Police have also identified the murder victim as 33-year-old Jermaine Samuel, who was living in a room at the Colonial Motel on Princess Anne Street. Police say the victim was stabbed, not shot as some early reports indicated.The fight and homicide stemmed from a dispute over illegal drugs. Police say the investigation is active and ongoing.
