I have this saying:

Something catches my eye, something touches my soul; I shoot. It’s that simple.

I’m an eclectic photographer. I don’t focus on one subject matter. I may see the light hit a building in a particular manner and I capture it. I may see a dead leaf with brutal cracks of age and I capture it. Maybe a piece of graffiti inspires me or a pattern in nature works it’s way into my line of sight. I shoot what speaks to me.

When I see my subject, I’m already creating the art. I know whether it’ll be traditional, whether it’ll be black and white, whether it’ll be vintage or whether I’ll completely dissect it into an original work. 

For me, photography isn’t just a picture; it’s a feeling. It’s capturing a small portion of the universe, sometimes reshaping it, and sharing it with the world so they can feel it too.
