Rappahannock Choral Society, Neighbor

The Rappahannock Choral Society is a 65 member, audition-only, choral group directed by our award-winning artistic direction of Linda Monner, and the incomparable accompaniment of Marilla Haas and draws its members from Spotsylvania, Stafford, Orange, King George and Louisa Counties as well as the City of Fredericksburg.  We do 4 concerts a year, the first weekend of December ( FREE ) and Mother’s Day weekend in  May ( Nominal Charge ). The concerts are held Saturday  @ 8:00 PM & Sunday @ 3:00 PM.  @ the Chancellor High school located on 6300 Harrison Rd. in Fredericksburg, Va. We also do special mini-concerts and have for the last 2 years been invited to be on the music program for the National Harbor Tree lighting, the day after Thanksgiving where we performed to over 3000 people.  The RCS is the recipient of grants from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts as well as the Rappahannock Electric Coop and receives additional support from members of the community. We are in partnership with Spotsylvania Parks and Recreation and Partners in Education with Spotsylvania County Schools.
