The Candidates On Fredericksburg's November 5 Ballot

Are you voter ready?

The next scheduled Virginia election is Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013.  The ballot will include state, regional and local offices.  The candidates who will appear on the ballot in the City of Fredericksburg are:

Governor 

  • Terry R. McAuliffe, Democrat
  • Ken T .Cuccinelli, Republican
  • Robert C. Sarvis, Libertarian
McAuliffe leads by a slight margin, according to the Quinnipiac poll released September 18.  McAuliffe was favored by 44 percent of those polled, Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli by 41 percent and Robert Sarvis by 7 percent.

  • Ralph S. Northam, Democrat
  • E.W. Jackson, Republican
Attorney General
  • Mark R. Herring, Democrat
  • Mark D. Obenshain, Republican
Member House of Delegates
District 28 - Includes Fredericksburg City and Stafford County
  • William J. Howell, Republican
District 88 - Includes Fredericksburg City, Spotsylvania County, Stafford County and Fauquier County.

  • Oct. 29, 2013 - Deadline to apply for Absentee Ballot by Mail 
  • Nov. 2, 2013 - Deadline to apply for Absentee Ballot in Person 
  • Nov. 2, 2013 -  Saturday Office Hours for Absentee Voting, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. 
  • Nov. 5, 2013 - Polls open 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Nov. 6, 2013  Books open for Voter Registration
