Annual Fredericksburg Welsh Festival

This popular street festival honors the
Welsh ancestry of James Monroe (through his mother, Elizabeth Jones) and features a Welsh market, poetry contest, dancing, genealogy, storytelling, language classes and children's activities. Live music will be performed by Gwion, Jodee James, and Fredericksburg band Moch Pryderi.

Admission is a suggested donation of
$5/adult or $1/child. The festival is
co-sponsored by the Welsh Society of Fredericksburg and the James Monroe Museum, and partially supported by funding from the Friends of the James Monroe Museum, the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority and the Stewart Jones Trust.
