After Father Dies, Community Helps Family with Three Sets of Twins

Family getting overwhelming support after unexpected death.

The Fredericksburg community is going online to support a family with three sets of twins after their father, Wayne Beale, passed away unexpectedly last weekend.

An online campaign launched this week to support Joni Beale and her children.

The initial goal of the GoFundMe campaign was $6,000. As of Thursday night, the effort had raised more than $16,500 on the way to a $20,000 goal.

"Many people have asked how they can help," wrote campaign organizer Heather Metzger Ablondi. "Many have offered to bring a meal to the family, and while meals are great and welcome, there is a much greater financial need."

Albondi told NBC Washington that a heart condition left Wayne Beale without life insurance, and the public's support could help pay the Beale's mortgage payment, electric bill, groceries, etc.

Fredericksburg.com notes the twins are ages 13, 8 and 2.
