Cross-Country Cycling Campaign for Disabled Making Fredericksburg Stop

Twenty-eight fraternity brothers traveling from Long Beach, Calif., to Washington, D.C., raising money and awareness for people with disabilities.

Members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity are spending their summer crossing the country on bicycle in support of people with disabilities, including one of the final stops in Fredericksburg on July 31.

The group of 28 cyclists and nine crew members are participating in Push America’s Journey of Hope, a 3,900-mile cycling trek from Long Beach, Calif. to Washington, D.C.

Every cyclist commits to raising a minimum of $5,500 on behalf of people with disabilities and the group has been stopping in communities across the country to raise awareness of local programs supporting the disabled.
