Witches Masquerade Ball, Downtown Ghost Walk and More Frightfully Fun Festivities

Halloween happenings in the Fredericksburg area through Oct. 31, 2013.

Home Team Grill Halloween Party Hosted by Five 40 Roller Girls
Friday, Oct. 25, 7:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
Home Team Grill, 1109 Jefferson Davis Hwy.
A fun Halloween party with good eats and drinks for all ages. Costume contest, raffles and door prizes. Meet the Five 40 Roller Girls roller derby team. A portion of your patronage will be  donated to the team to help with charitable causes in the Fredericksburg area.  Free admission.

UMW’s Historic Preservation Club 29th Annual Ghost Walk
Friday, Oct. 25, 6 - 10 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 26, 5 - 10 p.m.
James Monroe Museum and Memorial Library, 908 Charles St,  Fredericksburg
Tours start every 10 minutes. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for UMW students/staff, military with ID, and kids ages 6-12, and free for kids under the age of 5.

Fredericksburg Police Department and Downtown Businesses Annual Trick or Treat
Saturday, Oct. 26, 12 - 2 p.m.
The event will kick off at Riverfront Park, 600 Sophia St, Fredericksburg, at noon with activities for kids.  Families may then proceed to downtown businesses displaying a pumpkin flier in the window for treats.  Free.

Annual Fall Festival at Hazelwild Farm
Saturday, Oct. 26, 1 - 5 p.m.
Hazelwild Farm, 5325 Harrison Rd, Fredericksburg
Bring the kids for pony rides and games.

Annual Fredericksburg Witches Masquerade Ball
Saturday, Oct. 26, 7 - 11 p.m.
The Riverside Center, 95 Riverside Pkwy, Fredericksburg
A Venetian style formal masquerade charity ball where magick and mystery mingle. All net proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society.  Enjoy a night of dancing and entertainment while as well as hors d'oeuvres & beverages from the chefs at Riverside. Items will be available for silent auction throughout the evening. Open to partygoers 18 years old and older; 14 years old and up if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Tickets are $75 per person

The Rappahannock POPS Orchestra Presents Halloween Tricks & Treats
Saturday, Oct. 26, 7:30 - 10 p.m.
Grace Church of Fredericksburg Center for the Arts, 1141 Heatherstone Dr, Fredericksburg.
Costumes encouraged.
$20 Adults, $15 Seniors (65 and over), $15 Students (with valid ID), Children Under 18 Free.

Pumpkin Palooza at the University of Mary Washington

Sunday, Oct. 27, 1 - 4 p.m.
Families from the surrounding communities can bring their children on campus dressed in their costumes for Halloween and fall crafts, games, and trick-or-treating; Woodard Campus Center, Great Hall; Free 540-654-1802.

Fredericksburg Fall Family Festival
Sunday, Oct. 27, 3 - 6 p.m.
Children can enjoy moon bounces, a petting zoo and games with prizes at Spotsylvania Towne Center.  Sponsored by Spotswood Baptist Church,

Hungry Halloween Belly Dance Hafla - Food Drive
Wednesday, Oct. 30, 7 - 9 p.m.
Kabob City, 10681 Spotsylvania Ave, Fredericksburg
Bring non-perishable food items for free admission to the Belly Dance Hafla (party), featuring open dancing and several performances by PRISM Dancers.
The food will be donated to the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank.
