Armed Robbery at Fredericksburg Shell Station

Fredericksburg Police officers are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Shell gas station at 2301 Plank Rd. at 2:50 p.m. Friday.

"An employee at the Shell station reported that two black males, one armed with a handgun, entered the store and confronted the clerk, then stole the cash drawer from the register," Natatia Bledsoe, police spokesperson, said.

Both suspects were described as in their early to mid 20s; one was wearing all black with a gray ball cap and the second was wearing black pants and a red hoodie, Bledsoe said.  The suspects ran from the store toward the rear parking lot of the business.  Police are on the scene searching the area and a Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office K-9 team is assisting with a track, Bledsoe said.
