Arrests Made in Sunday Night Spotsylvania Stabbing Death

Two Spotsylvania residents were arrested for the stabbing death of a man in the county. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two people have been arrested in connection with a stabbing death Sunday night in Spotsylvania County.

Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a stabbing call in the 100 block of Wakeview Drive at approximately 10:25 p.m. July 21, Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Jeff Pearce said.  "Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim, Robert Jones, Jr., of Spotsylvania, suffering from multiple stab wounds," Pearce said.  Jones was rushed to Mary Washington Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division responded to the location and conducted an examination of the scene, Pearce said.  Detectives discovered leads, which ultimately led to the arrest of the victim’s step son, David Edward Sealock, Jr., 23, of Spotsylvania and his girlfriend, Michelle Leigh Soderberg, 28, also of Spotsylvania.  "Both subjects were located at a motel room in Stafford County, where they were taken into custody without incident," Pearce said.
