ABC Store Hit Twice This Week

City of Fredericksburg Police crime report for Oct. 21 and 22, 2013.

LARCENY

ABC Store, 1249 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 10/21 8:00 p.m. A manager reported that an unknown male stole a bottle of liquor by concealing it under his clothing. The investigation is ongoing.

ABC Store, 1249 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 10/19 6:40 p.m. The manager reported that a male subject stole two bottles of liquor by concealing them in his clothing. The investigation is ongoing. 

300 block Weston Ln, 10/21 6:15 a.m. A resident reported that he was standing outside his apartment building when a subject walked into the parking lot and attempted to open the driver’s door of his vehicle. The vehicle owner shouted at the unknown suspect, and the suspect threw a wallet onto the ground and ran from the scene. Officers contacted the owner of the wallet and it was discovered that it had been stolen from another vehicle in the same apartment complex.
The suspect was described as black and wearing a grey hoodie and jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

200 block Caroline St, 6/30 – 10/14 7:00 p.m. A resident reported that a sum of cash was stolen from his home office. The investigation is ongoing.

600 block Fauquier St, 10/18 – 10/19 12:30 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person broke a window on his vehicle and stole a cell phone from inside it. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

2200 block Caroline St, 10/16 – 10/19 2:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person entered her apartment and stole a quantity of cash. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1400 block Franklin St, 10/19 9:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole her daughter’s bicycle from the front yard. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

BURGLARY:

2300 block Cowan Blvd, 10/21 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person broke in to his apartment and stole a firearm. The investigation is ongoing.

100 block Hickock Cir, 10/18 – 10/19 9:45 a.m. A property manager reported that an unknown person broke a window to gain entry to the vacant residence and stole some items of value from inside. The investigation is ongoing.

VANDALISM:

Food Lion, 515 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 10/21 6:15 p.m. A shopper reported that an unknown person shattered a window on her vehicle in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

400 block Hanover St, 10/18 – 10/19 9:20 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person shattered the driver’s side window on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1800 block New Kent St, 10/17 – 10/20 3:30 p.m. A property owner reported that an unknown person broke a window on his vacant rental house. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY:

1200 block Sunken Rd, 10/20 3:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person gained  entry to his apartment through a ground floor window and threw items from the refrigerator around the premises. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
