Business Owner Assaulted by Three Males Outside His Store

Crimes reported by the Fredericksburg Police Department on Sept. 23, 2013.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:
3300 block Fall Hill Ave, 9/22 7:15 p.m. A business owner reported that he was standing outside his store when he exchanged words with a male subject who was walking by. A short time later, the unknown male subject came back with two other males; he then pulled out a handgun and assaulted the victim by striking him in the face with the gun.

All three subjects ran from the scene prior to police arrival. The suspects were described as black males 18-20 years of age; two of them were wearing black jackets and one was wearing a white shirt and blue pants.  One of the suspects may have had long hair in braids.

The investigation is ongoing.

The victim denied any injury from the assault.

WEAPONS OFFENSE:
100 block Princess Anne St, 9/21 5:00 a.m. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found evidence that multiple rounds had been fired in and near the parking lot of Hazel Hill Apartments. There were no reports of injuries or damage. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY:
1600 block Lafayette Blvd, 9/22 4:15 a.m. Police responded to an alarm activation and found a broken window and an open door at the residence. The vacant house was searched and no offender was located. Nothing appeared to be stolen from the premises. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

LARCENY:
ELS Center, 1127 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 9/10 – 9/20 8:40 a.m. An employee reported that an unknown person stole a large coffee pot belonging to Blackstone Coffee. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Fredericksburg Motor Cars, 429 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 9/20 5:30 p.m. A customer reported that an unknown person stole a quantity of cash from her vehicle while it was being serviced. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Express Auto Spa, 2101 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 9/20 5:45 p.m. A customer reported that an unknown person stole a quantity of cash from his vehicle while it was being serviced. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

600 block Greenbrier Ct, 9/18 – 9/20 11:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole prescription medication from her apartment. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Quaker Steak, 1300 Central Park Blvd, 9/20 10:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. A patron reported that a quantity of cash and a tablet were stolen from her purse which had been left inside a camper in the parking lot. The investigation is ongoing.

400 block Hanson Ave, 9/22 10:50 p.m. A resident reported that he heard a car alarm sounding and saw an unknown person walking near his and his neighbor’s vehicles. A small item was later found that had been inside the neighbor’s unlocked car but nothing else was reported missing or stolen. No known suspects at this time.

800 block Prince Edward St, 9/22 10:00 p.m. – 11:10 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that an unknown person broke a window on his vehicle and stole his laptop computer from inside. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 9/22 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. A shopper reported that an unknown person shattered a window on her vehicle in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
