Woman Pushed Outside Giant Food, Purse Snatched

ROBBERY:

Giant Food, 1245 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 12/26 7:45 p.m. A 58-year-old patron reported that she was walking out of the main entrance when a male subject approached her, pushed her away from her shopping cart, and grabbed her purse from the child seat section of the cart. The suspect fled on foot through the shopping center in the direction of Cowan Boulevard. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male, approximately 5’5” and in his early 20s, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

900 block Sylvania Ave, 12/26 3:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole a quantity of cash from the center console of his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

7-Eleven, 905 Lafayette Blvd, 12/26 6:00 p.m. An employee reported that a male subject stole a piece of merchandise from a shelf by concealing it in his clothing. The suspect was described as a white male in his 50s wearing blue sweatpants, a green jacket, and a beanie hat. No known suspects at this time.

VANDALISM:

1600 block Dixon St, 12/26 1:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. A visitor reported that an unknown person broke the windows on his vehicle parked in a lot. The investigating officer found a second vehicle with similar damage. The investigation is ongoing.

600 block Amelia St, 12/24 – 12/26 10:00 a.m. A site manager reported that an unknown person broke three windows on a house under construction. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1500 block Gateway Blvd, 12/24 – 12/26 8:30 a.m. An HOA representative reported that an unknown person or persons has repeatedly broken the decorative lights at the entrance to the Idlewild mansion. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd, 12/20 – 12/27 6:00 a.m. An employee reported that an unknown person caused extensive damage to his son’s vehicle which had been left in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

Tomaso Passagaluppi, 24, of Lignum was arrested for public intoxication, resisting arrest, and shoplifting from Wawa.
