Hit and Run Suspects Identified, Investigation Ongoing

HIT AND RUN:
400 block Lafayette Blvd, 8/18 12:15 a.m. A 21-year-old driver from Spotsylvania reported that while he was traveling through the intersection of Kenmore Avenue and Lafayette Boulevard, a gold vehicle crashed into the side of his truck, then ran over a sign in the traffic island before speeding off.

A short time later, witnesses saw the same gold vehicle hit a fence and two parked cars in the 1400 block of Franklin Street, before ending up in a front yard. The driver and a passenger from the gold Camry fled on foot.

A police K-9 from Stafford County responded to the scene to assist, and the dog followed a track from the crash site to a location on Sunken Road. The occupants of the Camry were not found. Two suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY:
1300 block Littlepage St, 8/17 – 8/18 8:00 a.m. An estate sales agent reported that an unknown person broke in to the home and stole jewelry and other items of value. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:
Tito’s Diner, 1695 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/16 5:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. An employee reported that an unknown person stole her vehicle from the parking lot. The vehicle is a 2001 blue Dodge Neon with Virginia license plates. The investigation is ongoing.

Fredericksburg Antique Mall, 211 William St, 8/9 – 8/14 10:30 a.m. A vendor reported that an unknown person stole jewelry from a case. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Mott’s Run Reservoir, 6600 River Rd, 8/17 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her purse from inside. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/16 – 8/17 7:00 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that an unknown person stole her cell phone after it was inadvertently left in the game room. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Jay’s Lounge, 2030 Plank Rd, 8/18 1:00 a.m. Two patrons reported that their purses and cell phones were stolen from a table inside the restaurant. The investigation is ongoing.

Funland, 1351 Central Park Blvd, 8/18 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown person stole her daughter’s iPod while they were inside the business. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB), 600 Jackson St, 8/15 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. An employee reported that an unknown person stole her purse from her office. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:
1700 block Lafayette Blvd, 8/18 12:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. An officer patrolling in the area found graffiti spray painted on the sides of two buildings. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1000 block Heritage Park Dr, 8/18 12:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A property manager reported that graffiti was found spray painted on the side of a building. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

200 block Mayfield Ave, 8/18 1:20 p.m. A resident reported that a male subject threw a beer at her storm door and broke the glass. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
