Man Injured in Hit and Run on Lafayette Blvd.

The driver of the vehicle was later found and arrested.

A 52-year-old man was struck by the side mirror of a vehicle while walking beside the road in the 1300 block of Lafayette Blvd. at about 5:25 p.m. on Oct. 4.

"The impact caused the mirror to break off," Natatia Bledsoe, Fredericksburg Police Department public information officer said.  "The victim was transported to Mary Washington Hospital for minor injuries," she said.

The driver of the vehicle, Lori Buckler, 50, of Colonial Beach, was later located in Colonial Beach and arrested for DUI, Bledsoe said.

Buckler was also served with a city warrant for felony hit and run and incarcerated at the Northern Neck Regional Jail.
