Man Stabbed, Robbed on Greenbrier Drive

The Fredericksburg Police provided this information. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

ROBBERY:
Greenbrier Dr/Armory Dr, 8/31 4:00 a.m. A resident reported that he was walking on Greenbrier Drive when a male subject approached him from behind and demanded that he turn over his money.

The victim refused and the unknown male grabbed him. During the ensuing struggle, the victim was stabbed in the back. He was able to break free and ran back to his apartment, where he called a friend to take him to the hospital.

The victim required multiple stitches to treat his injury. The suspect was described as a black male, possibly in his 30s, 5’8” and wearing a black hoodie and jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

Play it Again Sports, 1281 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 8/30 6:00 p.m. The manager reported that a juvenile accompanied by an adult paid for merchandise with a bill that was later determined to be counterfeit. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:
Bach Chiropractic, 2501 Fall Hill Ave, 8/29 – 8/31 11:15 a.m. The owner reported that an unknown person stole a quantity of checks from his office and cashed one of them at a local bank. The investigation is ongoing.

Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd, 8/30 10:00 a.m. A shopper reported that an unknown person stole a ring from her unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VRE Lot, 399 Prince Edward St, 8/29 – 9/1 11:40 a.m. A commuter reported that an unknown person stole the registration stickers from his license plates. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

400 block Riverside Dr, 9/1 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. A Bowling Green resident reported that an unknown person stole her backpack while she was at the river. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:
2378 Plank Rd, 8/30 – 8/31 8:30 a.m. A property manager reported that an unknown person damaged a fence and sliding entry door. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1300 block Railroad Ave, 9/2 12:00 a.m. - 5:00 a.m. Three residents reported that an unknown person damaged the side mirrors on their vehicles. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Great Oaks HOA, 1199 Mahone Dr, 8/28 – 8/31 6:00 p.m. The manager reported that an unknown person damaged the lights on the sign at the entrance to the subdivision. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
