Painting Damaged at Brush Strokes Gallery

The Fredericksburg Police Department provided this information.

VANDALISM:
Brush Strokes Gallery, 824 Caroline St, 7/5 6:45 p.m. – 7:05 p.m. An artist reported that an unknown person scratched and damaged one of her paintings during an open house event. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

2400 block Cowan Blvd, 7/4 – 7/5 6:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person scratched and damaged his vehicle with a sharp object. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

BURGLARY:
The Scenter of Town, 907 Charles St, 7/5 – 7/7 8:00 a.m. Police responded for a report of a burglary and found evidence that the door had been forced open. It was then discovered that a donation jar containing coins and currency was missing from the register area. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:
Dunning Mills Inn, 2305 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 7/4 – 7/5 12:40 p.m. A resident reported that prescription medication was stolen from her room. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

700 block Cornell St, 7/6 11:00 a.m. A resident reported that a quantity of cash was stolen from her room. The investigation is ongoing.
