Suspect Sought in Best Food Mart Burglary

An unidentified man robbed and vandalized the Stafford store early Monday morning.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the burglary and vandalism that occurred at the Best Food Mart at 624 Garrisonville Rd., Stafford during the early morning hours of Monday, Oct. 14.

The suspect broke a side window of the store and entered the business.  Once inside the store the suspect significantly damaged a cash register, stole another cash register with an undisclosed amount of cash and stole several packs of cigarettes as well.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’5" - 5’8" between the ages of 18 – 23 with curly or wavy light colored hair, wearing a baseball cap, a light colored pull-over style hooded sweatshirt, jeans and contractor gloves.  A white commuter-like van was seen leaving the area at the time of burglary and is the possible suspect’s vehicle.
