Waitress Assaulted at Buffalo Wild Wings

The incident occurred about 1 a.m. Friday.

A waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings was assaulted early Friday morning after identifying an underage drinker, according to Natatia L. Bledsoe, Fredericksburg Police Department public information officer.

The waitress reported she checked [the ID] of an underage female who was consuming alcohol, who was then escorted out of the restaurant by security personnel.

"A short time later, while the waitress was cleaning a table, three friends of the underage patron confronted the waitress and assaulted her by striking
her repeatedly and pulling her hair," Bledsoe said. "A male patron intervened and removed the victim from the fight."

The assailants then left the scene in a white Nissan. The victim was checked by personnel from the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad, but she denied the need to be transported to the hospital, Bledsoe said.

The three assailants were described as:

  • A black female in her early 20s with long hair in a weave style and wearing a red pea coat;
  • A black female in her early 20s, approximately 5 feet tall and 145 pounds with long straight hair;
  • A black female also in her early 20s.

The investigation is ongoing.
