Woman Assaulted Outside Hard Times Cafe

The City of Fredericksburg Police provided this information.

ASSAULT
300 block Jefferson Davis Hwy, 7/9 11:25 p.m. A 60-year-old Spotsylvania resident reported that a male subject approached her while she was sitting in her car in the parking lot at Hard Times Cafe and asked her for money. The victim handed the man a bill through the window and when she did so, he reached into the vehicle and ran his hand over her chest. The man then left
the area on foot. The suspect was described as a white male in his 40s wearing jeans, a dark colored shirt and a baseball cap. No known suspects at this time.


LARCENY:
Tompkins Martin Medical Building, 1101 Sam Perry Blvd, 7/9 9:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. An employee reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse. She later discovered that her credit cards had been used to make purchases at area businesses. The investigation is ongoing.

Belmont Apartments, 2520 Cowan Blvd, 7/8 – 7/9 8:15 a.m. A maintenance employee reported that a television was stolen from the community gym. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

700 block Sophia St, 7/3 – 7/9 9:40 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole his bicycle that had been left chained to his fence. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ABC Store, 1249 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 7/9 6:15 p.m. A manager reported that a male subject stole four bottles of liquor by concealing them in a bag. The suspect was described as a black male wearing jeans and a black T-shirt with an orange horizontal stripe. He was accompanied by a black male wearing a black T-shirt, ball cap and glasses and carrying a camouflage book bag.
The investigation is ongoing.

VANDALISM:
1400 block Brigadier Dr, 7/7 – 7/8 5:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person damaged her husband’s vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1000 block Wicklow Dr, 7/8 – 7/9 5:30 p.m. A manager reported that an unknown person broke a sliding glass door on an apartment. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VRE Lot G, 300 block Prince Edward St, 7/9 7:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. A commuter reported that an unknown person shattered the passenger side window on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Eagle Village, 1269 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 7/9 10:15 p.m. An officer patrolling in the area observed two suspicious subjects behind the shopping center who were reportedly vandalizing property. The two subjects fled from the scene on foot and the officer discovered a large amount of new graffiti painted on walls and containers. The subjects were described as a black male wearing a red shirt and black basketball shorts and a white male wearing a white T-shirt and brown shorts. Both were carrying black back packs. The investigation is ongoing.
