City Conducting Study for $25M Stadium

The Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority said the feasibility study will be completed in six weeks.

The City of Fredericksburg would like to lure the Hagerstown Suns to the area. 

"There's been a group of community leaders looking into baseball since late last year," Richard Tremblay, Fredericksburg's Assistant Director for Economic Development, told WHAG Television.

Tremblay said the city will conduct a feasibility study for building a multi-use stadium, estimated to cost $25 million, and possibly lure the minor league baseball team to Fredericksburg.

"That study is to be done and completed over the next six weeks," Tremblay told WHGA. "That will give the city a better handle on the potential."
