Songwriters' Showcase, Oktoberfest and Something Special Talent Show

Dressed to the Nines Gala
Friday, Sept. 27, 7 - 11 p.m.
Inn at The Old Silk Mill, 1707 Princess Anne St.,  Fredericksburg
Food, cocktails, live music, auctions to benefit Fairy Godmother Project of Fredericksburg, a nonprofit organization working with local families facing the challenges of pediatric cancer.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series with Don Brown’s Soul Experience
Friday, Sept. 27, 7 p.m.
Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center, Market Square, 907 Princess Anne St.
Free; extended museum hours from 5 - 9 p.m., members reception and activities for children.  This is the final concert of the 2013 series.

Fredericksburg Songwriters' Showcase
Friday, Sept. 27, 8 p.m.
Picker's Supply Concert Hall, 902 Caroline St.
Enter through the alley around back.  Admission is $10, students $5.
This is a monthly concert series sponsored by Picker's Supply and featuring original acoustic music.

3rd Annual Truckin' for Mutts
Saturday, Sept. 28: Truck registration opens at 8 a.m. Spectator admission opens at 11 a.m.
Fredericksburg Fairgrounds, 2400 Airport Ave.
Big Rig Show and Shine to benefit the Fredericksburg SPCA
Mule rides and other fun children activities provided.
Truck entry fee is $30. Admission $10.  Children 5 - 12, $5. Children under 5 free.

Capital Ale House 10th Annual Oktoberfest
Saturday, Sept. 28, 11:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.
The 800 and 900 blocks of Caroline Street in downtown Fredericksburg
The festival's $2 cover charge will benefit Fredericksburg's Main Street Program.

The 2nd Annual Something Special Talent Show presented by Unlocking Their Future
Sunday, Sept. 29, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Fredericksburg Field House, 3411 Shannon Park Dr.
Food, games, music and a talent show presented by children with special needs.  The suggested donation is $10 per family.
